About Me
Growing up in Chandigarh, Tarannum’s family was and continues to be her guiding force. As a young child, she grew up in an eclectic family of theatre actors, so , performing arts came naturally to her. She would set up a tape recorder and act like a reporter by interviewing her friends and family. As a five-year old, she entered the world of entertainment with her first stage performance and has been making strides ever since.
While she has sported many hats throughout her extensive career, such as voiceover artistry and hosting incredible events like TOIFA, her most memorable roles have been on television. In 2006, Tarannum joined “Channel M” as the host of the popular cooking show “Fusion Fare” featuring Vancouver’s Top Chefs. This propelled her into her next big endeavor, which was her very own television show “Chai Time”, giving her viewers more personal connect with their favorite broadcaster.

On a personal level, Tarannum is most known for her melodious voice and “speaking in tarannum”. With a vibrant energy that allows her to connect with folks of all ages and generations, she’s got an incredible talent for making every single person she meets comfortable and bring them at ease.

Following Chai Time, Tarannum hosted the much-anticipated Arts & Culture segment on OMNI, a segment that folks couldn’t wait to watch every night! The successful reception she received during the segment gave her an opportunity to expand and anchor the BC Round Up for ZEE TV and report news for OMNI, where again she excelled.
